Are you aware that as of January 2013 there is now a recognised Code of Practice (NCP115) for the Design, Installation & Maintenance of Scaffolding Alarm Systems?

Written by the National Security Inspectorate (Formally known as NACOSS) the UK's leading certification body for the security and fire sectors and with technical industry knowledge from Panthera Security this code will now help to raise standards within the industry and eliminate many of its malpractices.

The NCP115 code will provide reassurance to homeowners, tenants and specifiers of scaffolding alarm systems that had not been possible before. In addition insurance companies have now a professionally written Code of Practice that they can insist upon as a minimum standard; this will help to mitigate their risk during refurbishment or maintenance works.

Insurance policies require that all reasonable precautions be taken to remove or at least reduce loss or damage.

The erection of scaffolding can have serious security implications and leave residents and tenants at risk physically and financially, as it is a condition of insurance that all reasonable precautions are taken to remove/reduce loss or damage. All parties involved in the contract have a "Duty of Care" to residents and others, which is why security should be considered a major priority. It is not sufficient to simply supply an alarm; if that alarm does not fully protect the building; serious consequences could result in a claim against you or your company if your scaffold alarm system has not been installed by a NSI approved installer and to the NCP115 code.

Are Your Site / Scaffold Alarms installed in compliance to the NCP115 Code of Practice?

By using Panthera Security the first ever NACOSS Gold approved Scaffold Alarm Company you can be assured that our installations meet all requirements of the new NCP115 Code of Practice. As the first approved installer we have been robustly audited in both office and installation procedures to ensure we meet the high standards of the NSI and UKAS.

Upon completion of an installation you will be issued with an "Installation Certificate of Compliance" which is uniquely numbered and can be identified to the site it has been installed. This certificate may be required by your insurance company as proof that the system meets their criteria when it's a condition of insurance.

This is what Panthera Security can say... can your alarm installer say the same?
